Further to this, I spent upwards of 50 mins queuing on the phone for Virgin Customer Services today, in an attempt to track down a phone number for Warrington Bank Quay services. I didn't get an answer once. In fact, only in the morning did it tell me that I was actually in a queue (until work intervened 20 mins later, and I had to hang up). Both attempts in the afternoon just played music/ringing at me.

(interesting point: it appears to leave you on muzak for small multiples of ten minutes, before dropping you into a ringing tone. Still no bugger answers, though.)
