Another thing about Internet Explorer that annoys me (sorry? Why, yes, there are a few): I don't use bookmarks. I use a plain .html file that has the links I like, in it. That way, it's easily portable to any browser, on any machine.

So, this file's my default page. And IE shows the file position in the URL bar. The pull-down list, which normally holds recently entered URSs, instead is the tree-view of the local file-system. Start typing in any URL ("http...") and that pull-down's behaviour reverts to the history.

I only ever want the history behaviour, of course, which means I have to start typing "http:" before I can get it.
