Short-short stories

Gaiman has a link to "Ten Tales of Terror". So in keeping, here's one of mine from, what, a decade ago. Written for (I think) the Telegraph's 50th anniversary, the idea was to write stories of no more than fifty words.

John Brown's friends were sympathetic when he said his wife had left him, but gratified when he immersed himself in his brewing business. His Burke's Ale even won several awards. "Lots of body," the judges said.

Then the police opened up the vats, and found out whose.
