Yesterday included This Film Is Not Yet Rated, which is quite good for getting annoyed at the MPAA without going anywhere near copyright issues, and Farenheit 9/11. Both had been lurking on the PVR for some months, so it seemed like a good time. The Michael Moore was not nearly as effective as Bowling for Columbine, but then, pretty much all of his points had been better presented in one of his books (Dude, Where's My Country, I think). Plus, there were a couple of Robin Hoods (still crap, though Lardener's Ring had a nice idea, and a guest character that blew everyone else off the screen). And three hours of MTV, on fast-forward.
Today there was more. Ultraviolet and Aeon Flux, mostly on fast-forward. They're both really, really bad, but Aeon Flux is by far the worst, for the fight sequences. Though Ultraviolet manages to have a very tedious motorbike chase, and at least three times has groups of soldiers stand in a ring (and so in each others' line of fire) [ Note to self: still haven't managed to see Bloodrayne). Also, The Musketeer, The Mummy, and Three Stories from House.
Meanwhile, katlinel has kindly cooked some lovely food, and has wrapped a metric ton of xmas parcels ready for posting.
