That's a first

I've often been munching on some fruit (usually an apple) and discovered that large chunks of the innards once played host to a larva of some kind, which has excavated much of the core before tunnelling out.

This week, when I peeled a satsuma to find much of the segments feeling less than firm, I was greeted by a small maggot, that came out to see what all the fuss was about.

(Still, it's better than finding half a maggot, which I have> done.)
