The dentist visit was very quick. He couldn't see anything, so we poked around with a Tooth Sleuth (really - it's a blue plastic stick with a knob on the end, so that the dentist can simulate biting on particular areas). He quickly decided it was the first molar and said, "you'll probably need a crown." So, that'll cost $lots, then.
Anyway, first of two sessions next Wednesday morning, to have old filling removed from tooth, impressions taken, and temporary crown fitted. The actual fitting will be later.
And I pointed out to him that, based on prior experience, it usually takes a lot longer for anesthetic to work on me; the past two times, it's usually started kicking in by the end of the procedure.. Current Mood: annoyed
